Guide on Leukemia and its Types

Leukemia is the type of blood cancer which starts in the blood cells. Generally it starts in the lymph system and bone marrow. It is divided into two parts one in acute leukemia and chronic leukemia. The chronic leukemia are the leukemia which process slowly while the acute leukemia is process very fastly.

Acute Leukemias:
This type of leukemias are processing very fastly and it starts to accumulate in many tissues and organs. The uncontrolled growth of the abnormal cells in the bone marrow which affects on the production of the platelets and normal blood cells.

It is divided into two types i.e acute myelogenous leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia. In this types the different types og white blood cells are included, the B or T lymphocytes are become cancerous in the acute lymphocytic leukemia while granulocytes becomes cancerous in the acute myelogenous leukemia.

Chronic Leukemias:
In this type of leukemias the cancer starts from the blood cells which is present in the bone marrow. Sometimes the cells which are mature and appear normal but thery did not work normally. It is also classified into two parts i.e chronic lymphocytic leukemia and chronic myelogenous leukemia.

This type of leukemias are process very slowly. The chronic lymphocytic leukemia includes T or B lymphocytes , both are divided form the types of white blood cells . Only 5% of patient can be suffers from T cells.There is no any symptoms shown by chronic lymphocytic leukemia.  While in the chronic myelogenous leukemia the granulocytes becomes cancerous.
