Medical Treatment for Skin Cancer

This skin cancer occures when the cells undergo a transformation during their growth and without normal control it multiplies thus they form a mass which is called as tumor.Normally the skin cancers are of three different types i.e Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Basal Cell Carcinoma and Melanoma.
Treatment for Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Basal Cell Carcinoma is straight forward i.e surgical therapy is required. But the Melanoma requires several treatment including radiation therapy , chemotherapy and surgery.
The patient can be treated by external radiation therapy when they doesn’t undergo surgery.This radiation therapy uses the small beam of radiation which is targeted on the skin lesion. These radiation helps for destroying the lesion and kills the abnormal cells.This therapy causes burning of the skin , fatigue and also irritation , but these side effects are temporary. The chemotherapy and immune therapy is used in advanced cases, which offers the clinical trails.
