Guide on Postpartum Depression and its Symptoms

This type of depression occur after the pregnancy. After the  pregnancy as 80 percent of women’s faces some mood disturbances. But 10 to 20 percent of women’s faces more disabling form of the mood i.e postpartum depression. It is occur due to changes in the hormone levels, the women can get the postpartum depression within the months after the pregnancy. A women, who’s suffer from postpartum depression becomes so irritable, depressed and also suicidal.

The symptoms of postpartum depression may be occur at any time after the pregnancy. A women who is suffer from postpartum depression:

–> Feeling hopeless, empty and very sad.
–> Have trouble falling asleep
–> Suicidal thoughts
–> Feeling of inadequacy as a parent
–> Poor appetite
–> Not be able to concentrate.
–> Weight loss or Weight gain
–> Feeling very guilty.

A women who’s has postpartum depression which includes risk factors such as psychosocial stress, inadequate social support, previous major depression. She may become very worried about the baby’s well-being and  health. In rare cases, women’s who has postpartum depression may be thinking very harmful and negative about their baby.
